Tomás Cano has been a technical translator since 1996. He earned his BA with Special Prize in Modern Languages and Translation with the University of Alcalá in Spain, and is currently writing his final dissertation for a MA in Translation and Interpreting in Public Services. He is an ATA-Certified translator for English-Spanish since 2008 and earned a Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists in 2011. For a year and a half (2018-2019), he was Assistant Lecturer of Translation Science, German, and English with the University of Alcalá. After a previous career in software development, he first experienced the internationalisation industry in 1994 as a localisation engineer in charge of bug-fixing, builds, and testing in Madrid and Dublin. He soon developed a passion for this craft and founded atWords (today Enthalpy) with a focus on technical and scientific translation. His working languages are English and German.
