A dedicated team of translators and revisers with a joint experience of over 30 years
Tomás Cano has been a technical translator since 1996. He earned his BA with Special Prize in Modern Languages and Translation with the University of Alcalá in Spain. He is an ATA-Certified translator for English-Spanish since 2008 and earned a Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists in 2011. For a year and a half (2018-2019), he was Assistant Lecturer of Translation Science, German, and English with the University of Alcalá. After a previous career in software development, he first experienced the internationalisation industry in 1994 as a localisation engineer in charge of bug-fixing, builds, and testing in Madrid and Dublin. He soon developed a passion for this craft and founded atWords (today Enthalpy) with a focus on technical and scientific translation. His working languages are English and German.
Débora Juberías earned her MA in Institutional Translation with the University of Alicante in 2017, on top of her BA in Modern Languages and Translation with the University of Alcalá, where she did her internship at the Office of International Relations. She joined the team shortly after her BA graduation in 2015. Débora has a keen interest in Legal Translation and is our main translator for all things legal, in addition to the experience she has gathered by now in other specialties and industries during her work at Enthalpy. Her working languages are English and French.
Elena Trigo earned her BA in Modern Languages and Translation with the University of Alcalá in 2018. With her background in the language training industry, as an office manager and teacher of English for almost two years in Madrid, she joined Enthalpy in 2017 as a project manager and junior translator. With a passion for medical science and Medical Translation, in 2019 she followed an intense Medical Translation learning programme that granted her valuable expertise in this area. Her working languages are English and German.
Eva Varela made the jump from the Oncology and Internal Medicine wards to the translation industry when, after earning her BA in Nursing in 2010 and working as a fully-fledged nurse up to 2013, she put herself to the challenge of studying Translation Science. She earned her BA in Translation with the University of Alcalá in 2016 and did her internship with us in the office. After working for some time for a different translation office, she joined Enthalpy as a permanent employee in 2018 and is our experienced voice in our medical translations, apart from her work in many other subjects. She is currently furthering her capabilities in Medical Translation by means of an intense Medical Translation programme. Her working languages are English and German.
